How to get there: By Car/Scooter: From Taipei Main Station, go east on Zhongxiao East Road until you reach Zhonghua Road and take a left. Take another right on Chengdu Road and you are there. There is some scooter parking on the street, but if you are driving a car I suggest parking at Carrefour and walking over. Looking for scooter rental in Taipei? You can search on Klook here or KKday here to search for options. You can also check out our scooter rental guide here. If you are looking for car rentals, you can also search Qeeq here, Klook here, or KKday here. You can also check out our car rental guide here. By MRT: Take the green line to Ximen Station. The shopping district can be found at exit 6. You can purchase a discount easy card to use on the MRT from Klook here or KKday here. You can also book an MRT travel pass on Klook here. By Bicycle: Cycling is the best way to enjoy Taiwan's landscapes if you have the time and energy. Looking for bicycle rentals in Taiwan? You can use Taiwan's many Youbike sharing stations, or search for rentals on KKday here, and search for tours on Klook here. You can also check out our Taiwan cycling guide here. You can also book a Sunset Riverside Bike Ride and Historical Tour, 4 Hour Cycling in Taipei, Ultimate 8-Hour Cycling City Tour, or Taipei City Bike Tour with Night Market Experience on TripAdvisor here. Map: Please see below Our Journey: As mentioned above, there are many Rododo locations in Taiwan, but we visited the Ximen branch. Getting there can be hard if you take a car or scooter because there is not much parking around. Overall, we had a great time and we were surprised at the value for the money, especially when it comes to the amount of meat offered as well as the buffet offerings. Since opening, they have maintained an average customer price of around 500 TWD. It has also been named the No.1 online for three consecutive years among hot pot chains (surpassing Haidilao, Lejian, Qinghuajiao) (source).
Rododo Hotpot Ximen location is right in the middle of Ximending Shopping District, Hanzhong Street Number 42, on the fourth floor.
To the left, you can explore even more of Ximending.
Coco and 7-11 are right across the street.
To the left you can explore even more of Ximending.
Right across the street is a Cosmed.
You should take the elevator up to the fourth floor, which is here at the front of the building.
There was a lady selling fruit here on the first floor when we visited.
There are two elevators that can take you up to the restaurant.
You can also walk up four stories on the stairs to the left, but I do not recommend this approach.
On weekdays at lunchtime, there should usually be plenty of seats, but on the weekends it may be best to book in advance. Note the Christmas lights, stuffed dinosaurs, and LGBT flag.
Here is an introduction to the different meats and soups. More on this later.
Also, if you join their membership you can get a free meat cake on your birthday.
You can also get a discount card from Blissful Shake when you eat at the Ximen location.
The restaurant is separated into two parts, with bigger tables here on the left side.
On the right side are more smaller tables.

Okay, hopefully, something on that menu piqued your interest.
Because we got the Stir-Fried Signature Stone Soup free with our membership, our server came to start up the stir-fry for us.
Stir-Fried Signature Stone Soup is an authentic method for enjoying hot pot. Our server stir fried the meat for us and also added onions and spices. It makes the hot pot much more fragrant and makes it great for dipping meat. 70g of meat is included!
We also got the Secret Pickled Cabbage Soup free with our membership. Secret Pickled Cabbage Soup goes great with rice, is not greasy, and includes free extra pickled cabbage!
Also, it was someone's birthday that day, so we got the free meat birthday cake.
The buffet and salad bar include 40 kinds of vegetable hot pot ingredients. A favorite is the white fish sauce you see on the left.
More hot pot ingredients are shown here.
There are also dried tofu, Youtiao, and noodles that you can add.
There is also a soft-service ice cream machine with vanilla and strawberry flavors, and cones.
You can also add candy and marshmallows to your ice cream.
Ice cream can be paired with colorful chocolate rice, jelly beans, cereal, marshmallows, and jelly balls to create your own sundae.
There are also two coffee machines here for free use.
There are also two flavors of smoothie: yogurt and wintermelon-lemon tea. Also, there is honey-lemon tea, smoked plum juice, guava juice, and sugar-free green tea.
There are also soft drinks available.
There is also Mingo scoop ice cream that had four different flavors when I visited: mango, litchi, durian, and coconut.
Of course, I had to go with the Mango flavor.
There is also unlimited rice.
There are also unlimited sauces. Sauces include New Sichuan Spicy Sauce, Signature Seafood Sauce, and Spicy Winter Mushroom Sauce which is suitable for vegetarians.
They also gave us a beautiful plate of beef, and we got a free plate of chicken for joining their membership.
We also got a plate of free "Fresh Lucky Fish Fillets" and six blue shrimp.
Boiling up our hot pot.
The other hot pot on the same table.
Free shrimp peeling service is available when ordering shrimp.
My free complementary chicken.
There are also a few methods for using the milkfish paste at the buffet recommended by the restaurant.
Method 1: 2 slices of lotus root with a small amount of milkfish paste. Stack them together like a sandwich. Method 2: Deep-fried dough sticks with a small amount of milkfish paste. Hollow out the deep-fried dough sticks and stuff them with milkfish paste (the deep-fried dough sticks are more fragrant). Method 3: Add a small amount of milkfish paste to the blue shrimp. You can get a free shrimp plate with 10 membership points. Shrimp peeling service is provided free when ordering shrimp. After peeling the shrimp (removing the head if desired), wrap shrimp meat, milkfish paste, and shrimp together. (Combining these three ingredients offers a rich and delicious texture).
Nearing the end of my meal, I took it down with coke, ice cream, and hot cocoa.
We were one of the last ones to leave during lunch time.
At the back of the room, there are three bathrooms, and also high chairs if needed. The restaurant also has mouthwash, deodorant spray, and other hygiene items if needed.
