Beidahuang in Nangang serves gigantic and delicious boiled dumplings, just east of Nangang Train Station, with more meat per dumpling than a pork bun. They are the largest boiled dumplings I have ever seen. If you are in the area, this restaurant is worth a stop.

How to get there:
Beidahuang is just east of Nangang Train Station on Nangang Road.
See the map below:
Beidahuang serves the largest dumplings I have ever seen. It is like eating an entire pork bun with every serving. To be honest, the only thing really specials about this place is the huge dumplings, otherwise it is a pretty typical Taiwanese braised tofu/egg/meat and noodle restaurant.
The restaurant is not hard to find on Nangang Road, and usually there is a long line of people here. It is right next to the popular foreigner run Bogart's Smokehouse.

There is limited seating downstairs, but there are a bunch of tables on the second floor.

We just ordered a bunch of dumplings. That's why we came.

These things are huge.
And they were gone before we knew what happened.
We are US Expats that have extensive experience living, working, and travelling in Taiwan. In our day, we had to learn many things about Taiwan the hard way. But we have come to learn that Taiwan is one of the best places in the world for Foreigners to live. Our blog does not represent the opinions of every foreigner in Taiwan. We are just trying to help others learn more about this beautiful country.
